Benito Mussolini was born in Predappio Italy, in the year 1883. He grew up fairly well, considering his mother was the town's school mistress. He grew up with both his mother and his father in the building that housed the school. His father was a passionate politician, and a dedicated socialist.
Despite Benito's known gift of powerful oration, as an infant he was slow to speaking, and his mother feared he would be mute. However, under her careful attention, he soon started developing into a rather bright child.
Although Benito adored his father, these feelings were not mutual. Which ultimately could explain Benito's aggressive and harsh childhood antics; a bully to other children. Benito would pinch other children in church, and throw rocks at them outside. This violent manor could be considered an early development of Mussolini's later-life fascist ideals. His father taught him socialist values, and encouraged him to defy authority.
In 1892, Benito's parents sent him off to Catholic boarding school, to which he despised. He headed his first rebellion at only 10 years old, over the food being served in his school"s cafeteria.
Over his late childhood years, his behavior worsened. In 1894, Benito stabbed a fellow student with a pocket knife, resulting in his immediate expulsion. His parents then took action in finding him a new and nearby school.
Despite all of his childhood expulsions, Benito received his teaching certificate in 1904.
At age 17, he became extremely fascinated with the opposite sex. He had several girlfriends, to whom he treated with utmost disrespect and a controlling nature.
In July 1902, he crossed the boarder into Switzerland to escape military service; an offence he would later have people shot for when he became dictator.
